Reading the signs

This was quite interesting to learn about, as you can have different ways of describing models and other thinngs.
In the seminar we looked at teapots which, i looked at a turtle teapot and we had to say what was the denotation which it was a teapot in a shape of a turtle and then we did panadagms or conotation of the teapot saying that this would not be good at a funeral but may suit a childrens party and that it was a collectable etc; we then did the same with a picture of a doll.
In the lecture we got showed pictures and had to say which ones were the denotation and which ones were myth and conotation.
In all i have found this to be a good way of describing how to put something across and describe it in a better and more professional way.
